Meet Your New Best Friend. While that may sound a bit odd, it's actually a good description of the typical farmer at the Franklin Farmers' Market. Gambling against Mother Nature while working long hours in the fields to grow the best in fresh farm goods. These farmers also donate fresh food to programs for the needy, plus teach kids and adults alike about the importance of farming. Because of the importance of local farms, since 2002, the Franklin Farmers' Market has worked to achieve these three goals: Keep local family farms productive, green and growing. Offer access to real food straight from the fields of local farms. Educate on the importance of farming and how it affects both environmental and economic issues in Tennessee. But we need your help.Support the effort to keep local family farms productive plus allow for the continued growth of educational programs and Children's Garden at the Market. Become a market volunteer. For information on how you can be a vital part of the market and help to keep local farms green & growing, e-mail us at franklinfarmersmarket@yahoo.com or leave a message on the market phone 615-855-3281 and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
